Artist Ståle Gerhardsen
Ståle Gerhardsen (b. 1980 / Trondheim, Norway) explains himself like this: “I live to make and I live to make. Luck. I do art. In all the ways that I think it makes sense to do art. Decorations, sculptures, paintings, illustrations, jewelry, clothing, installations, party, sound, film, spray, charcoal, ink, whatever. Contact me, for example, in an email, if you want to play with me in any of the above ways.”
“I work a lot with inclusion, humor and play. It's something I feel the world needs more and more of. Charity, togetherness and play. That's why I write children's books about how much a pencil can hold. That's why I create walls that encourage smile-hole cultivation. That's why I write articles in the newspaper. That's why I make a secret number of statues that play hide-and-seek at Lade school in Trondheim. That's why I paint. That's why I draw. That's why I make.
More wonder and play in the monitor, please.”
Gerhardsen has participated in exhibitions at Galleri SG in Trondheim, Trondheim Kunstmuseum, Krane Gallery, Galleri Geo and many more. He has also decorated many places around in Norway and other countries in Europe.
