Artist Rustam Qbic
Rustam Qbic (b. 1985 - Kamskiye Polyany, Russia), is a street artist, illustrator and graphic artist. His murals are located in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Almetyevsk, Vyksa, Derbent, Nizhny Novgorod, Magnitogorsk, Perm, Istanbul, as well as in Norway, the USA and Europe. In his works, Rustam creates his own poetic world that is full of philosophical images.
His work is very much inspired by Russian tales, and almost every one of his creations, be it on paper or on a wall is brimming with wonderful ideas and often have to be viewed up close to appreciate their full details. One of Rustam’s beliefs is the influence music has on him and how it can alter his mood. “It influenced me, my thoughts, and my inner world. Music and songs impose on a person its way of life and spirit. I want to be free from it and be on my own” said Rustam in his Interview with streetartunitedstates. Instead, he pulls inspiration from the world around him and the stories he finds in books. His works are full of saturated colors and surreal elements that make them feel like they came straight out of a children’s adventure book.
